The Corofin-Ruan Academy side faced a very strong Scariff-Ogonnolloe side who have been cutting a swathe through this division in Páirc Finne on Saturday morning.

Though well-beaten in the match, the boys fought really hard to limit the East Clare outfit. At the back, Ciaran Parnell was his usual brave and determined self in goal. Oisin Tierney (until his injury) and Tomás Barry were excellent in the full-back line while Alex Jordan, Aaron Twomey and Joe Lenihan put in a massive shift in front of them. Colm Whelan was outstanding in midfield getting on the ball time and time again.

Up front, Jack Browne, Josh O’Sullivan, Timmy Carroll and Dean Crowe were impressive.

Management complimented the boys on their effort after the match and emphasised the need to keep up the daily practice of skills at home.

Thanks to referee Declan Coyne and wishing a speedy recovery to Oisin Tierney and to Evan Lynch who is also coming back from injury.
