A great Clare man once said we are no LONGER THE WHIPPING BOYS and by god the Corofin-Ruan players showed that tonight

What an epic match played on a gorgeous summers evening in front of a big crowd in Corofin This game ebbed and flowed,Newmarket came out of the blocks very quickly and scored some wonderful points from distance . The score at half time did not look good for Corofin-Ruan as Newmarket led by a massive 12 pts

But after half time Corofin-Ruan saw real leaders emerging and took the game by the scruff of the neck and picked away at the Newmarket lead by scoring some great points of there own

At the final water break the lead was down to just 7 points and Corofin-Ruan battled bravely until the very end but unfortunately time was not on there side.

A fantastic team performance and great heart shown by each player over the hour.

Tonight they showed there true potential and why they are a match for any team in the county
