The Corofin-Ruan U13 Academy fought hard throughout but came up against a strong Tulla outfit in this Saturday morning match-up in Páirc Finne.

Tulla bossed the first quarter but with Alex Jordan outstanding at centre-back and Sam Sheehan and Sam Kelly working hard at midfield, Corofin-Ruan began to get a toe-hold. A slick passing move then saw Dean Crowe whip a ground ball to the Tullanet.

With Kristen Burke, Oisin Tierney, Aaron Twomey and Rory Fitzgerald solid in defence and Jack Browne showing well up front, Corofin-Ruan rallied in the second half. Dean Crowe bagged another goal and two points before Mark O’Callaghan finished a long solo-run with a spectacular top-corner finish.

Others to impress were Cillian Cummins, Tomás Barry, Mark McMahon, Daniel Quinn and Ciaran Parnell in goals.
